One hell of a ski season we are having here in the western United States and Canada huh!
So good that I thought I would get off the fats and change things up by getting back on to a pair of ole' faithful's, to see how they compare. I dusted off my old K2 193 AK launchers (Jerry Launcher's) gave them a quick wax (who needs edges in these conditions) and took them out for a spin in "Fuse" chute on Mt. Rose ski area.
Yep, they still rip and are way fun, it wasn't a deep pow day, but they performed excellent in the lightly packed pow. The question is, is it the ski that makes the skier or the skier that makes the ski? I had a few years of sick skiing with the boards, and they seem to still provide!
I know if you asked one person, Glenn Plake, he'd say it's the skier that is the variable in the equation. and I would have to fully agree!
